Autumn apple pie

Dissolve the yeast with 2 tablespoons of sugar until it becomes a paste.

We sift the flour in the bowl where we knead and sprinkle a little salt on top; make a hole in the middle and pour the yeast, put a little flour on top and leave until the crack.

Heat the milk together with the sugar and vanilla and pour it into the flour bowl, put the egg with the egg whites and knead until you get an elastic and slightly sticky dough. Add the melted butter and knead well until it sticks to your hands.

Let it rise until it doubles in volume.

For the filling: Put the peeled apples on the grater and heat the sugar and cinnamon together until all the juice left from the apples decreases.

After the dough has risen, divide it into 3 and put the filling on each sheet (we must have enough for all 3 sheets) and roll them, then put them in a rectangular tray lined with baking paper, let them rest approx. 10 minutes then grease them with egg yolk mixed with a tablespoon of milk and sprinkle sesame and poppy seeds on top. Put the tray in the oven until it browns nicely on top. Good appetite!

Ingredients for sheets:

  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons sugar

  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 baking powder
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • as much flour as it contains

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 2 kg of apples
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 4-5 tablespoons of sugar (here the choice is yours how sweet you want it to be)
  • cinnamon

Sheet preparation method:

In a bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, milk and oil one at a time. We will mix continuously until all the ingredients are homogenous.

Separately mix the flour with the baking powder. We will sift over the composition of the flour bowl, gradually stirring continuously until a non-sticky dough results. I put the flour out of my eyes and didn't weigh it. I added flour until the dough was no longer sticky. All this time my hands were powdered with flour.

I kneaded the dough and divided it into 2 equal parts that I left to rest for 30 minutes.

How to prepare the filling:

We will start by cleaning and cutting all the apples into pieces. We will prepare a pot in which we will add a little oil and we will turn over the apples and the desired sugar. We will put the pot on the stove to caramelize the apples, stirring constantly. We also add cinnamon over them. When they are ready we will set aside the pot and leave the composition to cool.

How to prepare apple pie:

Sprinkle flour on a counter and add the two pieces of dough. We will model them in two equal sheets. Over each sheet we will add the caramelized apples. We will roll each sheet separately.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

We will prepare a tray, lined with baking paper over which we will add the two rolls.

We will leave the tray in the oven until the rolls start to brown.

When they are ready, take the tray out of the oven and sprinkle the vanilla powdered sugar over the sugar.


First we prepare the dough:

For the apple filling, all you have to do is mix the sugar together with the spices, and cut the apples into cubes. Place them in the tart pan over the hazelnut caramel, then place the other disk of pie dough on top. Gently press the edges of the two discs with your fingers soaked in water to seal them. Give the top of the pie with beaten yolk and bake for 25 minutes.

Serve the pie with apples and hot caramel, along with sour cream, whipped cream or ice cream.

Autumn recipe: Apple and walnut pie

For a delicious apple and walnut pie, we need:

  • a package of fine sheets of Bella 400g pie
  • 1kg apples (4-6 medium apples)
  • 300g walnut kernels
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

Method of preparation:

First, take the pie sheets out of the freezer to thaw while we prepare the filling. Next, clean the apples and grate them, then put them in a pan in which we add the sugar, the vanilla sugar sachets and the teaspoon of cinnamon. Heat the apples until they soften and the sugar melts.

Meanwhile, cut the walnuts and add them to the filling. Then, spread the pie sheets in a tray and place the filling evenly between two sheets. Put the tray in the preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius and wait 45 minutes.

When the puff pastry turns brown, take the pie out of the oven, sprinkle a little walnut kernel over it and spread a spoonful of honey over the pie. Put the tray in the oven for another 10 minutes and the pie will become a delight in the true sense of the word!
